   For far too long the industry has been plagued with poor craftsmanship, as I’ve said in the past watching a 30 minute TV show and/or talking to someone at the big box store does not make you a QUALIFIDED “Tile Setter”.
   Finally the Tile Council of North America is introducing a tile installation certification. The “Ceramic Tile Education Foundation” is conducting testing around the country.
   So starting January 1, 2012, when you are interviewing a tile setter ask to see his “Tile Installer Certification”. If he looks like a deer in head lights politely thank him for his time and look for someone who is certified.
